Dahi Vada


1 Cup Dhuli urad dal soaked for 5-6 hours

For garnishing Chat masala

1 tsp Kala namak (black rock salt)

1/2 tsp Chilli powder

1/4 tsp Kali mirch

2 Tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped

2 tsp Cumin seeds (powdered), roasted

2 tsp Salt

2 1/2 Cups Yogurt beaten smoothly

For frying Oil

How to prepare Dahi Vada:

1.Grind the dal and whisk or beat it to make it light and fluffy.

2.Heat oil in a pan, give shape to the vadas and deep fry them over medium flame till it turns golden brown.

3.Transfer it to a pan of salted water and repeat the process for the rest of the batter.

  1. Now take the yogurt, add 1 tsp of cumin, 1 tbsp coriander leaves and black pepper and mix it well.
  2. Take the bhallas, squeeze them properly and arrange them on a serving dish.
  3. Put the yogurt on the bhallas and add chilli powder, chat masala, kala namak, cumin powder and coriander leaves.

7.Dahi Vada is ready to serve.
