Malai ki Kheer
2 liter milk
50 gm pistachio, sliced
50 gm almond, sliced
1 tsp saffron
1 tsp green cardamom powder
1 cup sugar (200 gm)
1/2 cup cream (100 ml)
50 gm khoya
1 tin condensed milk
3/4 cup basmati rice or tukda (150 gm)
- Wash rice and soak it in a bowl, then make granular paste and keep it aside.
2.Take milk in a pan, boil it and reduce it to half. As it gets reduced add the rice paste and cook.
3.When the rice is cooked properly, mix the khoya and condensed milk into it and cook for around 5 minutes.
4.Then add sugar, cream, saffron, green cardamom powder, pistachio and almond.
5.Kheer is ready, serve it hot or chilled.
