Amritsari Chicken Masala Recipe


For Marination:

500 Gram Chicken

1 tsp Lemon Juice

3 tsp Curd

2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

1 tsp Cumin Powder

1 tsp Coriander Powder

1 tsp Vinegar

1 tsp Red Chilli Powder

2 tsp Onion, chopped

1 tsp Salt

For Gravy:

1 tsp Coriander Powder

1 tsp Red Chilli Powder

1 tsp Cumin Powder, chopped

1/2 Cup Water

1 tsp Ginger

1 Green Chilli

1 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Sugar

6 Tomatoes

3 tsp Cream

3 tsp Butter



1.Take a big bowl and put chicken in it.

2.Add ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, curd, cumin powder, coriander powder, vinegar, red chilli powder, salt and chopped onion.

3.Mix all the ingredients properly and keep it aside for marination for 2 hours.

For gravy:

1.In a hot pan take butter, add red chilli powder into it and saute them.

2.Now  add cumin powder, coriander powder and chopped ginger and saute them well.

3.Add water to the pan and mix properly then add green chilli, salt, sugar and tomato and mix it.

4.Take another pan and add butter into it and spread it along the sides of the pan.

5.Now add the marinated chicken in the pan and saute the chicken well with the butter.

6.Let the chicken cook by covering the pan.

7.Check the chicken if it has turned golden brown in color and the butter has subsided.

8.Now add the tomato gravy in the chicken and mix it properly and cover the pan again to let it cook for sometime.

9.Once it is done remove the lid and add cream in it and mix it well.

10.Serve it hot with butter, coriander leaves and green chillies on the top.Amritsari Chicken Masala Recipe
