3-4 tbsp oil
3-4 green chillies, slit and chopped
Fresh ginger, sliced and finely chopped
1 onion, sliced
1 cup rice
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp Fresh coriander finely chopped
Salt to taste
Water as required
½ tsp lemon zest
½ tsp asafoetida
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chana dal
1 tsp urad dal
8-10 curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
For garnishing- Lemon wedge and coriander sprig
1.Wash rice in a bowl and put it in water, add salt and let it boil.
2.When the rice is cooked strain the excess water from the rice.
3.Take a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds in it.
4.Allow it to splutter then add curry leaves, chana dal, urad dal, ginger, green chillies and onion.
5.Now add asafoetida, turmeric powder and mix it properly, then add the rice into this and mix it properly.
6.Then add some lemon juice and lemon zest into it. Add little salt and coriander, mix it properly.
7.Once done take it in a bowl and transfer it on a plate so that it take shape of the bowl. Garnish it with lemon wedge and coriander sprig.
