1 Cup Chana Dal (washed)
1 tsp Cardamom Powder
1 Cup Sugar
3 Cups Water
2 Tbsp Ghee
1 Cup Water
2 Cups Maida
1 tsp Salt
1.Pressure cook the chana dal by adding water for about 1 minute (around 3-4 whistles).
2.Once done drain the water and mash it coarsely. Then put mashed dal and sugar in the pressure cooker and mix it thoroughly and cook slowly.
3.Now add cardamom powder and grated nutmeg and mix it properly.
4.Keep on stirring it continuously on low flame till it gets dry and let it cool down.
1.Take maida in a bowl, add ghee and salt and mix it properly.
2.For making semi-soft dough add sufficient amount of water and make a dough, then wrap the bowl with damp cloth or plastic sheet, leave it for 30 minutes.
1.For puran poli roll chapattis from the dough, use maida as a dry flour while rolling.
2.Now stuff the puran by filling the puran in the middle of the chapatti and cover the edges, make a round ball again and roll it into chapatti again.
3.Heat ghee on a tawa and cook the puran poli from both sides with lots of ghee.
4.Once done puran poli is ready to eat, serve it hot and pour some more ghee on it while serving.
